They said that AVIRA ANTIVIR PERSONAL is a free power tool,so I just installed and I like it,but in the big screen of this antivirus program its written : Personal Edition Classic License,Valid 30/11/2008,so my question is what will happen after this date? Am I going to be obliged to buy this antivirus so I can us it? If so then Avira Antivir is not for free,right? I need Ur explanation.Thanx lots guys.

No, it is free. The expiration date is increased through updates. It auto renews essentially. You shouldn't need to worry.

My computer shows the massege my computer virtual memory low.How Can I fix this problem.My RAM is 512 MB.My Virtual Memory is Set on 672 %26 1344.free space on disk C 26048 mb.Free space on disk D 34.9 GB. i change my virtual memory but it doesn,t take affect.its remain same when i click ok.Also I want to Uninstall Norton Antivirus 2006 From my computer But in Control Panel doesn,t show me the option Add/Remove neither i see the icon of norton antivirus in near the clock so i cannot disable it also.My Norton Antivirus progrmme 90 days.I don't have product key.

You already have a proper security system installed on your computer. These days that security software comes bundled with not just Virus protection, but also includes Spyware Protection, Malware protection, Integrated Firewall, Phishing protection, behavioural detection etc.

You must be well aware of all others, but if you are pondering about behavioural detection, then its a part of the installed security system which will inform if some changes have been made to the registry and whether you wanna keep or not. Like for instance a small program which is not detected as virus or trojan but will get activated once the computer reboots. And it adds an entry to registry before the computer boots so that it can run before the security system gets activated next time the computer is restarted. How can I determine how much RAM is being used on my laptop?

I have a HP Pavilion Notebook. It is less than 2 years old. I only use it for home use (internet, email, itunes music). I am frustrated at the speed of the machine. It seems to be getting slower all of the time while just doing normal windows tasks. I also frequently hear a grinding noise. Also, it takes so long to burn discs that I don't do that any longer. The machine has a CD-RW, but takes ages just to burn one disc and the machine often freezes when I try to do so.

The disc defrag says it doesn't need defraged (79% free space) and I run disc cleanup regularly. I have updated norton antivirus, lavasoft professional firewall, and ad aware pro.

Is there a way to tell how much of my RAM is being used to determine if that is the problem? Any other suggestions for diagnositcs? I'm sick of this slow machine!!!

Those behaviors are absolutely abnormal,

First, I would check temperature. The noise can be from the fan, maybe it needs maintenance, as fans starts to fail after some years of heavy use. Usually they need lubricant, but the CPU needs to be cooled, if not, then it will slow down to protect itself from permanent damage. It could also be unstable.

If you've got an AMD processor like Sempron or Athlon 64, or Turion, you may want to check at what speed is it running, sometimes people are having problems with the Cool n Quiet driver, when its enabled in bios but not installed in windows.

First thing's first...do you have a Vista Home or an Windowx XP Home edition with a SP. Also you need to pull down the VM size from over 3 GIG to just about 1 GIG as thats what your system will support. You need to understand at a time the OS total memory capacity can be written to the Virtual Mem. i.e. If my system is has 1 GB of RAM, i need a VM size of 1GB itslef as that the maximum paging size the OS will sopport.

If you have DSL, make sure you're not running too much phone line from the jack to your modem. It should probably be around 12 feet at the most. Otherwise it sounds like it's an ISP issue, contact your service provider and tell them what's going on.
run a disk defragmentator and then a disk cleanup on ur pc
Some thing is terribly wrong have you checked your connections, also it my be trouble on the network
